The Pixelmon Modpack on a server
How much RAM does a Pixelmon server need?
A small group runs comfortably from 4–6 GB (Stone or Iron); busy servers with gyms, shops, and a dozen trainers online are happier on 8 GB (Diamond). Pixelmon's load comes from Pokémon spawning and NPC activity more than world generation, so it scales with how busy your world is. The order picker recommends the right tier for the pack automatically.
On HostGoblin that starts at $13.99/mo with the Stone plan (4 GB RAM) — and resizing later keeps your world.

The Pixelmon Modpack hosting FAQ
Do my friends need Pixelmon installed?
Yes — everyone joins with the same Pixelmon pack version through the CurseForge launcher. Vanilla and Bedrock clients can't connect to a Pixelmon server.
Can Bedrock or console players join?
No — Pixelmon is a Java Edition mod, so phones and consoles can't join. For cross-play with consoles, a separate vanilla Bedrock server is the answer.
Which plan fits about ten players?
Iron (6 GB) carries a ten-trainer world comfortably; step up to Diamond (8 GB) if you're building a public-style server with gyms and events.
Can I change spawn rates or legendaries?
Yes — Pixelmon's settings live in its config files, and you have full file access from the dashboard to adjust spawning, legendary intervals, and more.
