How much RAM does a DeceasedCraft server need?

DeceasedCraft states its needs plainly: 8 GB minimum for a server, 10 GB or more recommended. The cities are the reason — huge generated districts full of loot and infected. 8 GB (Diamond) is the floor and runs a small group; 12 GB (Obsidian) is the honest recommendation for a full crew exploring different districts at once. The order picker reads the pack's minimum and won't offer anything under 8 GB for this pack.

Running it well

A smooth DeceasedCraft server

Pick the version on purpose5.10 is an open beta of the coming 6.0 — new districts and gun play, but the endgame districts aren't in it yet, so it can't be finished. 5.5.5 is the last complete release. The version list on the order page carries both; the DH Edition builds add Distant Horizons for the clients and run the same server.
Don't LAN itThe pack's own advice is not to play over LAN — reports of poor performance and bugs — but to host a server. That's what this page is for.
Pre-generate and restart dailyDistricts generate slowly the first time anyone reaches them. A Chunky run around spawn from the Add-ons tab, plus a daily restart from the Schedules tab, keeps a heavy pack feeling light.

DeceasedCraft hosting FAQ

Which plan should I pick for DeceasedCraft?

Diamond (8 GB) is the floor; Obsidian (12 GB) is what the pack recommends for a group. The picker blocks anything smaller.

Why is the minimum so much higher than other packs?

The cities. DeceasedCraft generates dense urban districts with thousands of blocks of loot containers and infected, and keeps a lot of it loaded while people explore. Other zombie packs on regular terrain run on half the RAM — Cursed Walking has its own page at /minecraft-modpacks/cursed-walking.

Do my friends need DeceasedCraft installed?

Yes — everyone installs the same version through the CurseForge app, and the version matters more here than in most packs (beta or 5.5.5). The join link on your dashboard names it.

Can I bring an existing DeceasedCraft world?

Yes. Upload the world through the dashboard file tools on a server running the same pack version, and keep a copy of the original until you've verified it in game.
