SkyFactory 5 on a server
How much RAM does a SkyFactory 5 server need?
SkyFactory 5 asks clients for 6 GB; the server needs a little less because there's no terrain, only what you build. 4 GB (Stone) runs two or three friends through the early game; 6 GB (Iron) is the sweet spot once automation stacks up, and 8 GB (Diamond) if the whole group builds sprawling factories on one island. The order picker reads the pack's minimum and highlights a safe plan.
On HostGoblin that starts at $13.99/mo with the Stone plan (4 GB RAM) — and resizing later keeps your world.

SkyFactory 5 hosting FAQ
SkyFactory 4 or SkyFactory 5?
SkyFactory 4 is the 1.12.2 classic with its huge progression tree; SkyFactory 5 is 1.20.1 with a new resource system built around color. We host both — see /minecraft-modpacks/skyfactory-4.
Which plan should I pick?
Iron (6 GB) for a group, Stone (4 GB) for two or three friends. The picker blocks plans below the pack's minimum.
Do my friends need SkyFactory 5 installed?
Yes — everyone installs the same version through the CurseForge app. Vanilla Minecraft can't join a modded server.
Can I bring an existing SkyFactory 5 world?
Yes. Upload it through the dashboard file tools on a server running the same pack version, and keep a copy of the original until you've verified it in game.
