Running it well

A smooth Better MC 5 server

Match the server's version, not CurseForge's newestBetter MC publishes client builds and server packs on slightly different schedules, and your order's version list only offers releases that ship a server pack. The newest client build can run a step ahead for a week or two, so tell friends to install the version the join link names.
Pre-generate spawnThe new biomes and structures are the main load. A one-off Chunky run around spawn from the Add-ons tab takes exploration lag off the table.
Shaders stay on the clientThe pack bundles shader presets; each friend switches them on in their own video settings. The server does no extra work for them.
